On 25th of September, our Jaan Vihalemm introduced visitors to the fascinating world of biomining as part of Estonia’s Researchers’ Night Festival (TÖF).
During the demonstration, participants could see how microorganisms can be used to cost-efficiently extract valuable metals from electronic waste, offering an innovative and more sustainable approach to recovering critical and valuable raw materials from secondary resources.
